ACT property developer 3 Property Group plans to deploy smart home devices from ASX-listed company Quantify Technology in its future residential properties.

The property company will install the Internet of Things (IoT) devices, in addition to smart speakers and Wi-Fi, in an initial 53 townhouses and three demonstration suites. The first devices will be installed in the properties in April 2020, under the agreement with Quantify and Harvey Norman Commercial Division.

The initial order is worth more than $170,000, according to Quantify.

Quantify sells voice, app and touch-controllable lighting controls and power points, which have proximity sensors and Wi-Fi connectivity. Quantify provides an app for controlling its devices, which also work with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant devices.

Quantify’s ACT agreement follows an agreement to supply its devices to 267 units in Wollongong in New South Wales. That agreement is with Sydney property developer Blaq Projects, which will also install smart speakers and Wi-Fi. Quantify expects the Wollongong order to be worth more than $500,000.
