A “leading” UK confectionary company has chosen Australian company Simble’s energy analytics solution to monitor its energy usage, Simble has announced.
The unnamed UK customer, which manufactures, distributes and retails confectionary, has signed a five-year contract to use the Simble Energy Platform at its manufacturing sites.
The Simble platform enables measurement, reporting and verification of energy efficiency. It includes software-as-a-service for visualising energy usage, and hardware for remote control of energy systems.
The platform will be rolled out with smart lighting by UK LED lighting and control systems company Powercor.
Powercor will install 30 Simble Energy Platform bundles at three sites, though there is potential to extend the rollout to other manufacturing sites. The customer has more than 300 locations in the UK, including retail outlets, franchised operations and manufacturing facilities.
The contract follows news announced last month that Powercor will deploy Simble’s energy analytics platform to London bus operator RATP Dev London. The technology will connect to a range of energy metering devices and will be used across 13 garages and maintenance depots. https://www.iothub.com.au/news/australian-company-to-provide-energy-analytics-to-london-bus-operator-526951
And in January this year, Simble signed a contract with UK energy broker UCR Consultants, which manages more than 60,000 smart meters in the UK. The contract will see the energy broker deploy Simble’s software-only SaaS product, called SimbleSense Lite.
Utility providers can use white-labelled Simble software to monitor smart meters and provide energy analytics to end users. Simble also provides a white-labelled package that includes sub-meters that enable more detailed energy analysis.
