Analytics platform provider Sisense is opening a Sydney office following a US$100 million investment round announced in January.

The company, which earned visionary status in Gartner’s Analytics and Business Intelligence magic quadrant last year, also announced new Australian sales hires.

The expansion follows the opening of Sisense’s Melbourne office last year. The Andrews Labor Government helped facilitate the company to set up in Melbourne.

Sisense sells a cloud-native analytics platform with APIs for integration with analytics apps.

Its global customer portfolio includes Philips, NASDAQ and the Salvation Army, and encompasses Fortune 500 companies, start-ups and non-profit organisations.

In the Asia Pacific region, it has customers in the advertising, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and technology sectors.
