Optus Wholesale has announced a partnership with Brisbane-based 2SG Wholesale to distribute machine-to-machine, IoT and GPS products and services into the wholesale reseller market.

Optus will combine its M2M carriage capability with 2SG’s applications and business tools, giving resellers the opportunity for their customers to implement GPS asset management, tracking and M2M technologies into their businesses.

2GS already provides M2M and GPS services in the transport and logistics, and mining sectors.

This new relationship will enable the integration of a wide array of 3G and 4G hardware into 2SG’s white labelled monitoring software platform. This platform incorporates vehicle, asset, trailer, equipment and personal trackers with complex regulatory transport applications.

According to Optus Wholesale’s head of marketing and strategy, John Castro, this new partnership signals a new opportunity for resellers to participate in the growing M2M and IoT market.

“Optus is pleased to be working with 2SG because the M2M market represents such a terrific growth opportunity for us, and is still currently under-serviced by wholesale-enabled service providers,” he said in a statement.

Mark Shield, managing director of 2SG Wholesale added: “We are thrilled to be working with Optus to provide the tools, products and expertise resellers require to successfully break into this rapidly growing market.”
