Software AG has revised its Apama streaming analytics platform to support emerging IoT standards, protocols and use cases.

The Germany-based vendor said release 9.9 of Apama included “increased support for MQTT and AMQP standards and protocols [to enable] easier integration with the Internet of Things”.

It also had functionality designed to make the software applicable to predictive maintenance and smart logistics, among other newer use cases.

The new enhancements in this release will help business analysts monitor connected devices in the Internet of Things, operate across Cloud or on premises IT deployments, and, include predictive analytics,” senior vice president of product strategy and marketing Dr Giles Nelson said.
