Opportunities to use smart sensing in Western Sydney and NSW will be explored at the Sensing the West Forum at Western Sydney University’s Parramatta City campus on March 13, 2024.
The event will be hosted by the NSW Smart Sensing Network and its partners Western Sydney University, Celestino, CSIRO Sydney Science Park Urban Living Lab and the Western Parkland City Authority.
The Western Sydney “Aerotropolis” will be a focus of the event, though organisers expect outcomes to be applicable to new developments throughout NSW.
Organisers are hoping to attract industry, government and academia to the event, which will cover planning, development and construction, service delivery, and people and the environment.
For example, the event will explore "How can sensing and data support meeting regulatory/planning controls/requirements and help developers achieve better outcomes for greenfield developments in Western Sydney?"
The organisers hope the event will result in project concepts to be progressed after the event.
