Advantech, which offers the WISE-PaaS cloud based IoT platform, has partnered with a number of other companies to co-create what it calls IoT Solution Ready Packages (SRPs).

These, it says, can be installed at a client site and when combined with sensors, edge computing and communication  create a complete end-to-end industrial IoT system.

It has named its first nine co-creation partners as Fleetivity, ILink IoMT, Nippon RAD, Alleantia Srl (Italy), Yeong China Machinery Industries Co (China), Etrovision Technology, XMight, AnCAD and P-Square, and says a total of 30 SRPs will be released in November at its co-creation summit in China in November.

Advantech says it has invited 6,000 senior executives from the world’s IoT domains to exchange and share their ideas at its co-creation summit. It will be held at the Suzhou International Expo Centre on 1 and 2 November

Advantech chairman KC Liu said the key to successful IIoT implementations lay with platform technology suppliers, such as Advantech, working closely with industry professionals to integrate and form standardised and easily duplicated SRPs.

According to Advantech CTO, Dr Allan Yang, IIoT solutions must be able to integrate the collection of industrial equipment data based on a variety of standards with edge device management, wireless communication, and data analysis.

“Such solutions must also integrate the creation of visually intuitive reports on cloud platforms, as well as the creation of AI models and their integration with expert knowledge,” he said.

“Since the professional technologies and knowledge required must come from different domains, the co-creation model is truly an effective and mutually beneficial model for realising these outcomes.”

Advantech says it uses a data-driven architecture to create the WISE-PaaS industrial cloud platform, which can move across multiple clouds.

“It offers flexible expansion, multitenancy, superior reliability, multiple database services, AI model training and deployment framework services, visualisation services for dashboards, and multi-level data security/management services.”

It has set up the WISE-PaaS marketplace where IoT applications for WISE-PaaS from Advantech and third parties are available.
