Dell has opened the doors to a new IoT Lab in Singapore, the first in the Asia-Pacific & Japan region, and the third globally, following similar facilities established in Limerick, Ireland and Santa Clara, California.
Partnering with Intel and co-located within the Dell Solution Centre at Singapore’s International Business Park, the new facility features Dell and Intel IoT solutions and end-to-end platform facilities, allowing visitors to test the products and consult with technical experts.
Customers will also have the opportunity to build, modify and architect IoT solutions on active bench spaces within the lab, as well as inspect product demos from Dell OEM customers Innodeep and Silverline.
“We see vast opportunities from IoT with companies benefitting by identifying new business models, increasing operational efficiency and fuelling innovation,” said Glen Burrows, area VP, Dell OEM, APJ region in a statement.
“The collaboration with Dell to establish the IoT Lab is a key milestone in realising our shared vision of IoT,” added Prakash Maliya, MD of Intel Southeast Asia.
“The lab systems will be able to provide a solid blueprint for delivering innovations to market faster by reducing complexity and defining how smart devices will securely connect and share trusted data in the cloud.”
