Since its inception 18 months ago, IoT Hub has seen the rate of adoption of the Internet of Things in Australia grow rapidly.
From connected water quality sensors monitoring Tasmania’s waterways for oyster growers to a Sydney CBD café saving thousands by using internet-connected fridges, the scale and breadth of the IoT ecosystems in place in Australia is staggering.
This year, IoT Hub would like to reward those who have taken the leap into the world of IoT to bring about change for the better, and give them the recognition they deserve.
IoT Hub is proud to announce the inaugural Australian IoT Awards, created to recognise the Australian IoT projects that have made the greatest impact for the businesses that have implemented them or the customers they serve.
The awards will be presented at the ADAPT Digital EDGE Experience conference at the Marriott Surfers Paradise on June 8, where all category finalists are encouraged to attend.
The awards will cover five categories, which are:
- Government (e.g. smart cities)
- Primary Industry (e.g. mining, agriculture)
- Secondary Industry (e.g. industrial)
- Professional Services (e.g. healthcare)
- Education & Research
Three finalists will be selected from each category, from which a winner will be decided by a judging panel consisting of the IoT Hub editorial team and independent industry professionals.
The winner of each category will then be eligible to win the title of Australia’s IoT Project of the Year 2017.
Applications to enter are open now and close on May 15th, with the finalists to be announced on May 22nd.
This is a chance to award Australian innovation in the IoT space, and to show the rest of the country – and the world – that we are leading the way with new ideas, use cases, and success stories.
So if you, your channel partners or your customers are involved in the creation or use of an Internet of Things-based solution to achieve your business objectives, then we invite you to enter.
